    Edit Photo Details Dancing Shiva at Ravanaphadi, Aihole   #india #cave #dancing #shiva #aihole #chalukyas
Ravanaphadi at Aihole in Karnataka has one of the oldest cave temples in India dating back to 6th century and is dedicated to Lord Shiva. One of the stunning features of this cave is the exquisitely stone carved 'dancing shiva'. It was difficult to capture the magnanimity of this sculpture, but I tried it anyway. It was summer (April) in India with temperatures soaring to 42 degrees, but inside the cave was so cool, hoping to go back again on another season...
