Bald eagles haven't been seen in the Port Colborne area for over 50 years. So when this pair made their way back, and started nesting, it caused quite the frenzy. Our Ministry of Natural Resources kept a close on them, as well as the locals. This event even captured media attention. I had the honor and privilege to photograph this pair for about 4 months. They were successful in raising one health baby. And they have stayed in the area last check, doing well and very content!
