Point Abino Lighthouse
On a beautiful summer day I was blessed to take a tour of the historic Point Abino Lighthouse. A lighthouse that was in operation until 1995. It was built in 1917 after the Coast Guard Lightship with 6 crew members, sunk during a storm. It sat empty, and forgotten until it was purchased by the Town of Fort Erie. And renovation work was done on it, in partnership with Parks Canada in 2011. This photo was captured after an intriguing tour concluded, with one last shot of the day!
