This waterfall supplies only a small part of Steamboat Creek and passes under the road that travels to the falls. These waters run green and support many salmon and steelhead trout spawning runs throughout the year, creating a beautiful contrast with the red rock and moss-covered cliffs. Snow rarely stays longer that a few days but contrasts nicely with the green forests.
