Flood Canal, built to reduce the threat of flooding in 13 areas, protect residential, industrial, and warehousing in eastern Jakarta, it is also intended as infrastructure for water conservation and groundwater recharge of water sources and water transportation infrastructure, and at night become recreational place for citizens near it, jogging and biking track and small parks are built alongside the canal.
