Our daily visitor in Kannauj, while we enjoyed the winter sunshine this February. This bird came to mean a lot to me as I counted days for the arrival of our first child. Growing up in a city, the only thing we witnessed was a dwindling population of birds but Kannauj in the hinterlands was a bird-watcher's delight.I can still feel that dappled winter sunshine on my skin (visible in this pic).
