Climbing out from the Crater
Resisting change, these sulphur miners would start their day of work every day at 3AM. After a 2 hour hike up the volcano they would travel 30 min. into the crater mining sulphur. They carried 80kg. out of the crater breathing in the thickest air stinging with sulphur. We found out that they only make 50 cents a load for their labor intensive effort and it only makes me more grateful for the work I'm able to do.
