    Edit Photo Details Reclining Buddha  
    Wat Pho is the largest and oldest wat (temple) in Bangkok and it houses this reclining Buddha. The temple is next to the Grand Palace in Bangkok, Thailand. It was crafted to celebrate King Rama III’s restoration circa 1824 - 1851 AD. At 46 m long and15 m high it is the largest Buddha image in Thailand. The Buddha is decorated with gold leaf and his eyes and foot soles are inlaid with mother-of-pearl.
