Odaka: Wiped Clean
Once home to 13,000, Odaka in Fukushima Prefecture is now a ghost town. Traffic lights change and the payphone works, but the town has been empty since a triple disaster of earthquake, tsunami, and meltdown of the Daiichi nuclear plant on March 11, 2011. Just 20 km from the nuclear plant, the entire town was abandoned and remains empty 2.5 year later. The tsunami cleared low-lying parts of the city clean.
