Walking across the Golden Gate Bridge we were completely immersed in a thick blanket of fog. Then, for a brief moment, the mist parted and the bridge appeared above our heads. With the honking of the boats below, and the roar of the cars speeding past us, we were whirled into a magical moment of wonder.
