    Reported by:

Driving home across central Alberta at night I saw a flash on the horizon, and an hour later the electrical storm was 15 miles north of me, and very active with sheet lighting, flashing every couple of seconds. I pulled onto a gravel road, set up my camera for night photography and turned off the lights. I placed the camera on the roadway, leveled it in the dark, and used my iPhone to elevate the lens to include the Big Dipper. 8 sec. f2.8 ISO 3200 Nikon D800.
