    India is a largely conservative society, still looking down on gay as suffering from sick mind and disease. Gays not only shunned by sections of people but they are harassed by the Police. Despite the taboo and discrimination faced by Gay, lately the Gay began coming out in the open by having annual gay street parade in Mumbai and other parts of India.
