T.C. Steele State Historical Site sits on a ridge about twelve miles east of Bloomington. The ponds behind the house on site are always teeming with northern green frogs. I wasn't expecting to find any left after the daily high temperatures went from the mid 70s to the low 60s and upper 50s F practically overnight, but there were a few. This one in the late afternoon sun and fallen leaves particularly caught my eye.
