    Alongside the bank of the Merrimack River lies an old sunken ship. Depending on the tides and height of the river, the shipwreck becomes exposed to various degrees. When low, one can see the wooden skeletal frame and metal interior. Out of the ship grows a large tree and a few shrubs and flowers. This vessel from the 1800's was believed to ship product to the Haverhill Shoe Mill's, or was a part of the military. As present day boats leisurley ride the river, they pass this treasure from the past
