Edit Photo Details Last Sliver of Wheeler Peak Glacier   #great #glacier #nevada #basin
August 2013, crossing the Great Basin looking for the petroglyph called the Drought Panel, I ventured to the top of Wheeler Peak, the only Glacier Peak in Nevada, and the last remains of the glacier are seen in the crack on the north wall. The absolute quiet of this glacier lake called Stella lake was crystal clear and reflecting the moon.
