Sea Oats At Sunset
On the barrier islands of the northern Gulf of Mexico, it is the Sea Oats that enable the formation of sand dunes as the nearly constant wind blows off the Gulf. Sea Oats can be found on many barrier islands along the coasts of North America. This shot was taken about an hour before sunset, back-lit by the setting sun, the Sea Oats are profiled against the warm colors of the golden hour which makes for dramatic clouds in the background.
