Carlsberg Breweries
Carl Christian Jacobsen built the Elephant Gate which was completed in 1901. The Elephant Gate was made of Bornholm granite by sculptor Carl Hansen Reistrup (1863 to 1929). The four elephants symbolize the four surviving children of a crowd of 8, Theodora, Helge, Vagn and Paula, brought into the world by Ottilia Mary Jacobsen in the years 1877-1890.
Shot this one morning on my way to work for a photo assignment with the theme "Passion".
