It never really snows in Los Angeles.However in the mountains surrounding the city, sometimes you can witness landscapes like this one where the mountains are completely covered with snow. This picture was taken in North Hollywood looking east toward the San Gabriel Mountains. Although, not a rare sight in Los Angeles during the winter months, in this picture, the heavy clouds added to the "alpine" atmosphere.
