    These are the ingredients of Pinakbet, a very popular Filipino dish that has originated in Ilocos, which is in the northern part of the country. Kapampangans will have their own version as well. All the same, the basic ingredients will be the native vegetables and will only vary in the meat of choice and main seasoning (fish sauce or shrimp paste) that will hold the flavours together.
