    The glass dome atop the Reichstag was designed as a symbol of German reunification and as a means to further distance the nation from its Nazi past. The contrasting shape and direction of the lines created by the structure of the dome, pathway leading up and down from the peak of the dome, and the mirrored centre structure in the dome produced an interesting shot.
