I visited Egypt during May and June this year, during a lull in the major ongoing conflicts. Egypt was nothing like I imagined. It was overwhelming to see the discrepancy between the remains of the beautiful, lost civilization who built the pyramids and the impoverish, broken people merely searching for a stable and secure life. Using my camera, I wanted to show that despite the conflict, Egypt is still beautiful and so are it's people.
