    Edit Photo Details Fruit Bat
This bat was fast approaching a Guava tree and eats about 4 Guavas per night. Fruit bats are considered a delicacy by South Pacific Islanders as well as in Micronesia. Consumption has been suggested as a cause of Lytico-Bodig disease on the Micronesian island of Guam, through bioaccumulation of a plant toxin that the bats are immune to. I used a Nikon D3100+Sigma 18-200mm Lens.
