While walking on a dirt path through a wooded area in mid-October, I stopped to rest a bit, and noticed the fall foliage wasn't quite peaking yet. Disappointing, after driving for over 2 hours in horrible traffic(Columbus Day), hoping for some beautiful color and great photos with my new digital camera my husband bought me days earlier. I was so excited! Standing there looking around, suddenly my eyes were drawn upward toward the sunlit leaves...WOW! A burst of magnificent color! Exhilarating!
