During our trip to Indonesia, I convinced my wife to wake up early several times to see the sunrise, but we ended up accepting the clouds and an overcast light as the present of the day. When we arrived to Flores island, we had to wake up at 3:30 a.m and start hiking in the dark in Kelimutu National Park for a chance to see the crater lakes at dawn. This was the day, as we reached the top and the majestic views of the lakes just in time to welcome the morning light.
