To the grand feast
Excitement all around as locals, dressed in their best clothes, prepare for the feast of Eid-al-Adha. The children (as anywhere in the world) are the most excited on this day, and rush to assist in the preparation of the meat (which involves killing the goat first by the family or community).
This is a small settlement in a wadi near the Wahiba Sands desert in Oman. A wadi is a valley carved between mountains by millions of years of rain water and over-ground and underground streams.
