On November 17, 2013. Thailand's festival-Loy Krathong .Pays homage to the goddess of rivers -Mae Khongkha - River Ganga-.In the evening people gather at rivers , lakes and ponds to float the beautifully decorated "krathongs" . These are lotus shaped baskets or boats made of banana leaves decorated with flowers. Incense and candles and coins are placed on these floats.Picture taken the day after at the pond near the temple on Nov 18 to see the collections.
