    This photo was taken during a long-term essay I undertook in Spain, looking at memory since 1492 until the present. Feeling I needed a narrative type image relating to mans relationship to his environment I searched for a recent hunt, which I found in Alajar, a small village about an hour from Sevilla. The hunter had hung the head of the deer on a tree to dry. While I was photographing it, a local girl came down the mountain, and dressed up with a crown, she stopped below the deers head
