Edit Photo Details Mona the camel   #animals #washington #sanjuanisland
Mona is a well loved camel who lives on San Juan Island. The story goes that she was rescued from her former life to come live here on the island. Mona is not only friendly but also the cause of traffic jambs near the San Juan Winery. Lines of cars stop and people dart across the highway to visit Mona who seems to enjoy the attention. She now has her own pasture, a llama friend, and all the attention she could possibly want. If visiting the island a visit with Mona should be on your list.
