MAR8397 - Bastille Day at Carcassonne
On 14 July, "quatorze juillet", it's Bastille Day in France when the nations commemorates the storming of the Paris Bastille in 1789. This event was the trigger for the French revolution. The southern city of Carcassonne hosts one of the country's biggest firework displays over the medieval walled city. It doubled for Nottingham castle in Kevin Costner's film - "Robin Hood, Prince of Thieves". More images like this at http://www.martincastellan.com
