The Orewa River flats at low tide. Located at Orewa Beach on Auckland, New Zealand's northern Hibiscus Coast. By shooting towards the light the contrast between light and dark increases, highlighting the textures of the sand bank and helping to light the foreground on an otherwise dull day.
