Ever since my first trip to the High Sierra at age 17, I have acquired an affinity for the mountains.They give me guidance and support, love and strength. They teach me about respect. But mostly, they remind me of why I admire the outdoors, and why humanity must protect the last remaining wild spaces. For these reasons, the mountains are my calling.
