    The vicious teeth are for grabbing slippery prey and not having roots can be easily damaged. The outer row is the most vulnerable and as they fall off the one behind them moves forward as if on a conveyor belt while fresh teeth are formed in the innermost row. Photo taken in National Aquarium in Baltimore.
