we had reached the Island Peak glacier still when it was dark.. after a short break, we all roped up and started our final push towards the summit.. we could see the summit bathing in the first sun light that had started hitting the himalayas.. in no time we were at the base of the summit, and the next scene was quite spectacular, almost surreal, to the extent of becoming ethereal.. I told myself -- "carrying a 2.5 kg DSLR was well worth just this one shot!"
