Blue doors are common in the Southwestern states. Santa Fe, New Mexico offers many opportunities to explore architecture dating back to the early Conquistadors and Catholic monks who helped settle the area. Like the early settlers, blue doors are still thought by many today in numerous cultures to ward off evil spirits.
