This is the final photo in my series of the male Mallard duck in flight at the Edwin B. Forsythe NWR in New Jersey last week. While I liked the "frozen motion" of the wings, I was more captivated by the eye between the feathers and the focus not only on the wing in front but also the face behind. Again, I was happy that my camera auto focus did not get distracted by all the grass around the bird!
