As the doors of the Pashupatinath Temple in Kathmandu had closed, we went behind it where the Bagmati river flows. It was a magical moment to see this aarti taking place where devotees had gathered late in the evening. Whereas, at the same time, on the opposite bank a few cremations were being performed. Two contrasts of life.
