A Rose-ringed Parakeet feeding on the grains of finger millet ( Eleusine coracana, commonly known as 'Ragi' in India). Ragi, a climate, altitude and pest-resistant cereal, is a staple and nutritious food for the poor farmers of India. We spotted a large group of parrots at this particular ragi field, busy enjoying the delicious meal.
