In India, where cattle are revered the concept of "man's best friend" takes a cultural shift. I captured this image on the banks of the sacred river Ganges in Varanasi in India. A local man has been to the morning market for some fruit and curd, and now he and his cow enjoy the warmth of the morning sun while he does his ablutions, brushing his teeth with fingers. He was immensely proud of his cow and wanted to see what the photo looked like after I had taken it.
