Despite its knocks and blows and hardship life goes on. This Green-Veined White butterfly is enjoying the nectar from flowers of Water Mint. She has been attacked several times by the wasps which cruise the clumps of flowers. At Winnersh Marsh they seem to specialise in removing rectangular patches from the wings of butterflies. They carry these patches off then return to attack again. I guess the pieces of wing are used for their nests.
