Last January I went to stay with a group of indigenous people from Ecuador who lived in the Amazon. I went on my own with very poor Spanish and no idea what I was getting myself in for. This photo illustrates the dinner we had one evening which was caught by Ventura from up a tree and then cut up, revealing the 4 baby foetuses inside which were then left to die in the forest! If I didn't have a strong stomach before I definitely do now!!! The strangest dinner I think I have and ever will have.
