Like the Padauk tree in Burma, which blooms for one day after the first rain then becomes a flurry of falling yellow petals, our childhood is a blur; so much beauty for such a brief flash of time. If I could go back ten years, I'd spend all day pushing my daughter on the swing rather than 10 or 20 minutes. If I could go back 35 years, I'd spend all day swinging while my dad pushed me; enjoying the elation of flying while feeling completely surrounded by love and security.
