My favourite mexican tradition has always been Día de Muertos (day of the dead). It is a day of celebration and a day to remember departed loved ones. On this day many graveyards change from a somber gray to an explosion of colour. You see various families visiting their departed ones and decorating the graves with brightly coloured flowers, mostly cempasúchil. It is a day to remember and to celebrate.
