    You want to hike Silver Star Mountain in southwest Washington early summer for some of the best wildflower displays and gorgeous views. Tiger Lilies are particularly captivating to me. The road to the trailhead is ridiculous and intractable. If you got the nerves (I did it in my 2 door Nissan Sentra) push on past the first turnoff for the more rewarding routes to the summit of Silver Star.
