Green Black Plant
In my hotel's courtyard in Panama. I found the light, the plant did the rest. I love to find simple images in the mess nature throws at us. I knew if I under-exposure, the shadows would go black. I knew what I wanted, not what I saw. It goes back to Ansel Adam and his notion of pre-visualization. I always say that don't let reality get in the way of your photography. I went for the bold contrast and simple shapes.
