Rain or shine, the Laotian novice monks collecting their daily alms in Luang Prabang, Laos. I have bought sticky rice and was waiting in the rain at 6am to offer it to the monks... From what I heard, some families in Laos do not have enough money or resources to raise all their children and some would be sent to the monastery at a young age. The monastery provide for the young monks who will be clothed, fed and educated.
