Edit Photo Details Ruins - Angkor Wat, Cambodia   #ruins #cambodia #angkor_wat
I was intrigued by the strength of the jungle plants as they infiltrated the rock crevasses and slowly grew to lever the huge rocks apart until the ancient structure is unstable and collapses. Most plants become mature trees before dying, their role in the jungle's reclamation process all but complete. I was seduced by the enormity and grandeur of the Angkor Wat ruins, however I noticed this plant rooted in a small crack had commenced its very own contribution to the slow motion destruction.
