In the woods
Plants are usually regarded as static component of nature. However, plants can also go wild even if the process is very slow and one can observe only the end of the "action". This fairly large tinder fungus was drilled through by a small willowtree which grew below it.Then apparently a deer has chewed off the tip of the tree. Or it is also possible that the parasitic fungus has taken advantage of the unexpected attacker and dried it off.
