Unlike common kingfisher or small blue kingfisher this is an unique species found in thick forests of India along side water stream, they differentiate from common kingfisher by having blue strip under eyes against orange patch in common ones. They hunt in dark canopies.. This image made me to wait for about 2 hours for making. Once this bird sat on this perch and flew away, expecting as per this bird behavior that it would come to the same perch some time, I started waiting. Paid off for 2 hrs
