I saw the IED triggerman about 300-meters to our squad's front just before the IED went off severely injuring our human terrain team's PhD in Cultural Anthropology, Dr. Scott Wilson. I'm now developing with L-3 COM and West Virginia University an extreme range photography system for use on the battlefield that will be able to photograph/video and ID insurgents out to 1-mile at night.
