When the river floods here in Launceston, Tasmania there are people on the wharf working very hard pulling up the logs which come floating down and they have chainsaws ready to cut the logs up. It is amazing to see them at work with the very strong currents running pulling the huge logs up out of the water. I captured this shot of the pile of some of the logs they had gathered, also a remembrance of another lot of people working hard to protect our waterways.
